Mel is a no-nonsense life and business coach who has turned her expertise and love for helping people into an impressive media career. She is the producer and host of the hit syndicated radio show The Mel Robbins Show, broadcast in 20+ markets across the country. Mel also hosts a Saturday morning show on Boston’s Talk Evolution, 96.9 WTKK.
Since 2001, Mel has run a successful coaching and keynote speaking business serving F500 corporations, conferences and media events as well as to high-level executives and individual clients, helping them reach their professional and personal goals. She has a particular passion for and expertise in coaching entrepreneurs in growing their businesses. Mel’s grandparents and parents are small business owners – being an entrepreneur is in her genes.
Mel was signed by ABC / Disney to a TV deal after she launched her first radio show on Sirius Satellite radio and she was mostly recently under contract with CNBC as a regular contributor on business and attitude to "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch."
The Mel Robbins Show airs everyday live from a custom built radio booth in Borders’ flagship downtown Boston store. Her fast moving show aims to change your life through honest and entertaining coaching, storytelling and problem solving. Mel focuses each show on current events, real life problems, career and business issues, personal drama and conflict resolution. In addition to the radio show, Mel and her company Advice for Living, Inc. are engaged as a monthly columnist for Success Magazine, and co-developing and distributing personal improvement products with Success Media. Mel also hosts and produces a filmed interview talk show series for Borders where she has interviewed high profile celebrities and authors including Barbara Walters, Dr. Oz, Donald Trump, Mandy Moore and Bill Cosby.
In addition to working with CNBC, Borders and others, Kaplan Publishing has engaged Mel as an author and co-producer of online coaching sessions to beat the mind game and stress behind the SAT for its customers (high school students) facing the SAT exam. Mel is profiled on the back cover of every 2009 Kaplan SAT book.
Mel is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Boston College Law School. She was a trial attorney and dot-com executive for several years, before launching her coaching career. Mel lives outside Boston with her husband (co-founder of www.stonehearthpizza.com), and their three young kids.
