This question from Ashley is something that’s extraordinarily important. She wrote in asking about my thoughts on “depression, healing, and personal struggle.” As you may already know, I have had my own battles with anxiety, and after my first child was born I had severe postpartum depression. I believe you MUST seek the help you deserve, whether it’s through therapy or medication. And I also believe it is vital, for your life, to do things like exercise and getting out of a difficult environment in order for you to start feeling momentum as you defeat whatever it is that’s bringing you down.
Your mental health should be taken as seriously as your physical body. Removing the stigma (I say stigmatism in the video – not perfect! ;)) is essential to being the best version of you.
